In the beginning was the word. With the word, people stand at the beginning of world knowledge, and they remain there if they cling to the word. Those who wish to take a step further, even just the tiny step that the intellectual work of a whole lifetime can advance, must free themselves from the word and from the superstition of words; they must attempt to liberate their world from the tyranny of language. However, no insight helps here, and no critical atheism of language. There is no support in the air. One must climb steps, and each step is a new illusion because it does not float freely. On every step, no matter how low, and even if the climber only briefly rests on it, touching it only with the tips of their toes: at the moment of contact, they too do not float freely; they are also bound to the language of that moment, of that step.
