Belinda L. Mayne (born late 1958 in London) is a British-German actress. The daughter of actor Ferdy Mayne, she made her first contact with film acting through her father at the age of 19 and began her career in West Germany. She could be seen alongside her father in "Die Ameisen kommen"; in the same year (1973), she was one of several children of Johanna Matz in the family comedy "Als Mutter streikte." Although Belinda Mayne initially had to be dubbed in German films, the British actress continued to be cast in German film and television productions; she received the leading female role in the Ganghofer adaptation "Das Schweigen im Walde." In later years, however, Mayne often had to settle for smaller roles and appeared in both English and German productions.
