With a lot of imagination and wit, Peter Gaymann, who hails from Freiburg, illustrates the peculiarities of the people from Baden. His cartoons depict the landscapes of Baden, the region as a tourist destination, and the culinary delights of the area. The cartoonist charmingly pokes fun at his homeland and its inhabitants: the Badeners' love for wine and good food is highlighted, as well as the supposedly always pleasant weather and the roaring motorcycles that race through the Black Forest on Sundays. The alternative Badeners, who protest against nuclear power and other issues with their "Nai hämmer gsait," also find their place in this wonderful kaleidoscope of Baden's sentiments.
