It has snowed! Karl, Katrinchen, and Spatz are building a big snowman. A red carrot serves as his nose, but the next day it is gone. Then the siblings discover mysterious tracks in the snow and find the solution to the riddle: The hungry animals of the forest have taken a liking to the snowman! Karl, Katrinchen, and Spatz decide to help the animals and build the snowman a stall filled with cabbage heads, chestnuts, acorns, and nuts. Now the snowman can keep his nose, as all the animals have enough food. But spring is already just around the corner.
