Fanta lives in a village in Burkina Faso, where traditions are still well established. There, all girls undergo circumcision. But Fanta's grandmother is against it! Although Fanta doesn't fully understand this decision, she knows she can trust her grandmother. Who else? Her mother, Delphine, has been living in France for five years to send money back to the family. Fanta occasionally talks to her on the phone and often wonders if she will also live in Paris later.
