Product details
In collegial consulting, one person presents a professional issue and is then advised by a group of colleagues in distributed roles. Systemic questioning is a communication approach that originally comes from family therapy and is increasingly being adopted in management. By linking these two methods, Andreas Patrzek and Stefan Scholer turn collegial consulting on its head: no longer is the all-knowing consultant sought, who seemingly has an immediate solution and a to-do list for every problem, but rather the coach who listens attentively and asks the right questions to help the case presenter arrive at their own solution. The authors present an expanded process model of collegial consulting with additional reflection and questioning phases. They also introduce the "Reflecting Partner," which enhances the quality of the consulting process.
