The successful therapy program for children with hyperkinetic and oppositional problem behavior, THOP, has been expanded with a new module. This group program provides parents of affected children with information about ADHD and expansive behavior. The manual offers detailed guidance for group leaders on how to implement the program. The group training for parents consists of 8 double sessions. Using a comprehensive, engagingly illustrated PowerPoint presentation, the group leader shares the most important information about the child's behavior with the parents. The principles of ADHD therapy are explained, along with essential parenting strategies such as praising and setting boundaries. The manual also outlines the implementation for group leaders based on the presentation slides, which are available for download.
