Product details
The Benz 11/40 PS was introduced in 1923 as a smaller model alongside the larger Benz 16/50 PS. The car was equipped with a six-cylinder inline engine with a displacement of 2,860 cm³, producing 40 PS (29 kW) at 2,250 rpm. The engine power was transmitted through a leather cone clutch to a four-speed transmission and from there via a driveshaft to the rear wheels. The top speed was 80 km/h, with fuel consumption ranging from 15 to 17 liters per 100 km. The vehicles were still equipped with wooden or wire-spoke wheels and leaf-sprung solid axles. The touring car was offered for RM 18,000.
