The transformation of organizational and personnel problems into key figures, automated calculations, and visualizations provides managers and stakeholders with supposedly objective information. However, the claim to make decisions rationally calculable and organizations target-oriented controllable is not fulfilled. Instead, the control tools offer discussion templates that encourage the managers and consultants involved to discuss success-critical issues and decisions on an ad hoc basis.
