The Kunstmuseum Bern houses high-caliber works of Swiss and international art from the late 13th century to the present. The collection includes over 3,000 paintings and sculptures, as well as 48,000 works on paper and videos, featuring masterpieces by Duccio di Buoninsegna, Paul Cézanne, Salvador Dalí, Ferdinand Hodler, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Paul Klee, Franz Marc, Henri Matisse, Meret Oppenheim, Pablo Picasso, and Félix Vallotton. The assembled works are illustrated in full-page format and are re-examined by around 70 international authors. A historical overview of the museum's establishment and its collection opens the publication.
