In a park, Franz meets Saskia and her mother. The girl is completely distraught because she has lost her doll. To comfort Saskia, Franz invents a story: the doll hasn't really been lost, but has gone on a trip and will write to her soon. And indeed, in the following weeks, Franz brings letters from the doll - from faraway places. But will the doll really return to Saskia? The story is based on an anecdote told about Franz Kafka. Bernadette has drawn inspiration from this to create a heartwarming tale.
