The Kunstmuseum Reutlingen - konkret will present the major collection exhibition Bernard Aubertin: Rouge et plus in 2024. The French painter, a member of the ZERO group and known for his monochromatic works in the color red, spent many years in Reutlingen, where he created his large wall and space-filling works. However, the exhibition will also make it clear that Bernard Aubertin (1934-2015), known as "le rouge," cannot be reduced to the use of the color red and experimented with a variety of artistic expressions throughout his life. The accompanying publication lays the groundwork for a reassessment of this previously underestimated artist from the ZERO movement, featuring images from the exhibition, archival materials, previously unpublished studio photographs, historical texts, and newly written essays.
