The course book contains teaching materials for nursing theory, designed to prepare individuals for work in elderly care assistance. The courses are aimed at people with a need for basic education as well as those for whom German is a foreign language (minimum B1 level) to prepare them for a role in elderly care assistance. For this target group, the course book is written in large print and largely in simpler language. The nursing course consists of 20 modules for two courses, designed to last 4 and 8 months respectively. The working materials are oriented towards nursing content. Supplementary teaching materials in the form of worksheets and learning games are available in the instructor's manual for the course. The course book and instructor's manual were developed as part of the transfer project KOMPASS2. They meet the requirements for AZAV-certified qualification measures for workplace-oriented training.
