Turkish-origin female adolescents face significantly worse prospects in the competition for coveted training positions due to the double disadvantage of their gender and national origin. Their migration background and specific life circumstances present them with additional developmental challenges that can complicate their identity formation in general and their competencies regarding a successful career choice process in particular. However, these Turkish-origin female adolescents possess various resources to cope with these challenges, which must be addressed by social work offerings to provide them with more effective support. Through literature research, the specific situation of Turkish-origin female adolescents in relation to their career choice process will be examined.
