Systems for graphically interactive business applications range from database-based information systems in production planning to programming, diagnostic, and planning tools in the workshop area. They form the backbone of today's information processing in companies. The first part describes methods of analysis and design for all phases of application development. The second part deals with modern implementation tools that have already proven themselves in industrial use. A particular focus of the book is on the development of user interfaces from the perspective of software ergonomics. For this purpose, a comprehensive procedure is presented and placed in the general context of software engineering methodology.
