This volume empirically and theoretically addresses the field of Occupational Social Work. The empirical approach is based on a survey of occupational social counseling services in German-speaking Switzerland and Germany regarding their tasks and profiles. Additionally, there is a qualitatively designed case study that examines the strategies, perceptions, and practices of an occupational social counseling service using a large Swiss company as an example. Based on this empirical foundation, as well as experience from a cooperative development project and referencing a general theory of social work, a proposal is developed for the conception, positioning, and content design of Occupational Social Work.
