Product details
Ernst Jünger - this is the thesis of this work - managed to develop psychological survival strategies during World War I that allowed him to experience and interpret the events of the war for a long time as fostering his personality and shaping his identity. However, the longer the nightmare of war lasted, the more difficult it became to psychologically defend against the real, humanity-destroying aspects of the war. This study examines how Jünger literarily described and coped with the personality-shaping-heroic and the psychologically destructive elements of his war experiences, from the previously neglected perspectives of trauma and trauma.
