"I was always searching for camaraderie - the Bundeswehr was my family!" reflects the young Benedictine monk Brother Longinus, formerly known as soldier Frank Beha. However, everything changes for the adventurer, who "doesn't have much to do with God," at least by the time he reaches Afghanistan. Brother Longinus Beha was born as Frank Beha in 1980 in Baden and grew up on a remote farm. As a Bundeswehr soldier, he was deployed to Macedonia and later to Afghanistan. There, he decides to enter a monastery. Since 2005, Brother Longinus has been living as a monk in the Benedictine Abbey of St. Martin in Beuron.
