Das OAIS-Modell für die Langzeitarchivierung
German, DIN e.V., Sabine Schrimpf, 2013Product details
OAIS stands for Open Archival Information System. It was developed as a reference model for a dynamic, extensible archival information system in the aerospace sector and published as the international standard ISO 14721:2012-09. The Beuth commentary "The OAIS Model for Long-Term Archiving" includes a German translation of the standard and provides a detailed explanation of its requirements. The OAIS reference model describes the functional units and processes of an open, extensible archival system in which people and systems work together to keep electronic information available for specific target audiences over the long term. It offers a data model for organizing archived information within the archive, defines central concepts, and establishes the core terminology of digital long-term archiving.
