Physical inactivity and a lack of movement experiences negatively impact children's concentration, as well as their physical, motor, and psychosocial development. Particularly in schools, there are increasing issues with students who struggle with concentration and exhibit aggressive behavior. This book highlights the effects of movement in general, its significance for child development, and learning in school. It also discusses the concept of the "Moving School" in Germany and the Vienna model of Active Learning. Practical examples of lesson units are provided to help improve children's concentration and performance through specific exercises. Movement can and should be integrated into all subjects to instill a love for physical activity in students and promote active behavior.
