In what mobility culture do we want to live? This question is particularly relevant for the city of Frankfurt and the Rhine-Main region, as space is quite limited. The book accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Historical Museum Frankfurt. Both invite readers to engage with mobility in diverse ways. The richly illustrated contributions outline societal, social, and spatial aspects from both the past and present. Emotional and subjective perspectives are highlighted through artistic positions. Mobility is understood holistically and transdisciplinarily as a potential for individual movement. Thus, the book goes far beyond the current discussions about traffic and infrastructure.
