The Rudolf Steiner schools in Switzerland have so far been scarcely researched empirically. There is no shortage of mostly positive opinions from the perspectives of parents and graduates regarding these schools. However, those seeking concrete research on the educational realities or effectiveness of Rudolf Steiner schools may find themselves disappointed. This study presents the results of an extensive written survey of former students of Rudolf Steiner schools. The examined sub-aspects, which are analyzed and interpreted by experts in their respective fields, include professional biographies, life orientations, religion and faith, as well as the time spent in Rudolf Steiner schools. The study, which is preceded by a historical overview of this type of school, is the most comprehensive of its kind in Switzerland to date.
