Product details
First, there is a hair salon. From there, Vicente, the narrator, observes the world. He watches the workers dismantling the railway tracks. Tracks on which no train will ever arrive again in this deserted provincial town, far from Buenos Aires. Tracks that remain as scars in the earth and in the minds of the inhabitants. Then there is Don Pedrin, the bar where everything is commented on. People talk about the film that was shown in the town's only cinema, and they discuss the past, repeatedly asking why Negra Miranda supposedly took the train to Buenos Aires one day and never came back. She had legs that drove every man, especially the young ones, crazy and made a married policeman lose his mind. Whether lost in thought or engaged in conversation with others, everyone tells their version of events.
