Biography theory and analysis have not only proven their significance for research and science in recent years, but their relevance is increasingly being discussed from a practice-oriented perspective in relation to social, nursing, and educational fields - keyword: professionalization. The introduction to biography-oriented case reconstruction aims to present central paradigms of biography research as well as to outline the importance of the method for practice. Methodological, methodological, and practice-related aspects are vividly illustrated based on empirical examples.
