"Architectures of Colonialism" is an interdisciplinary anthology that addresses the complex issues of cultural heritage and colonial past. In light of current global debates on decolonization and memory culture, the book examines how colonial structures are embedded in our built environment and the impact this has on cultural memory. Contributions from international authors in the fields of archaeology, architectural history, and heritage studies offer new perspectives and methods for reevaluating archives and material evidence. The aim is to make the stories of marginalized groups visible and to reflect on one's own positionality in engaging with colonial sites. This work is an important contribution to the ongoing discussion about the interconnection of history, architecture, and cultural heritage.
