The Elbphilharmonie is the new landmark of Hamburg and is already an icon of contemporary architecture. In this publication, the Basel architects Herzog & de Meuron document their project: from the existing analysis and concept to the initial design, the subsequent planning process, and the construction phase, all the way to the completed building. Floor plans, sections, and detailed drawings, along with written contributions, complement the documentation.
