The fact that the locally known contractor Bertram Brunnrieder is hanging from the Maypole in Wolnzach, right in the heart of the market community, between the church, town hall, and the 'Zur Post' inn, is quite unsettling for the residents of Wolnzach. Rumors are quickly swirling, and wild stories are being spread, with even a mafia murder being considered. But no one really knows for sure, and the detectives from Ingolstadt aren't making any progress. Fortunately, master butcher Ludwig Wimmer, who recently handed over his business to his son-in-law, is terribly bored and urgently looking for something to do: it would be a laugh if he couldn't figure out who the culprit is. And in case of emergency, his clever granddaughter Anna is also there to help him - not just with that strange internet.
