Additionally, carpentry businesses and experts lack reliable literature. The Block Construction Guidelines address this gap. It is important to note that block construction does not only refer to residential log houses. Due to modern cutting techniques and wood processing methods (automated production), smaller extensions for garages, bus shelters, or high-quality garden houses, as well as weekend or holiday homes, are often built using block construction today. Many medium-sized carpentry companies are now capable of producing and assembling such block constructions due to their machinery.
