For the first time, the world-renowned Arden Shakespeare is producing performance editions specifically designed for use in rehearsal rooms. Published in collaboration with the Shakespeare Institute, the text includes easily accessible notes on the opposite page, including brief definitions of words, important textual variants, and guidance on meter and pronunciation. The font size is larger for easier readability, there is space for notes, and punctuation has been reduced in favor of the actor, not the reader. With editorial expertise from the fields of theater and academia, the series has been developed in collaboration with actors and theater students. The editors of the series are the esteemed scholars Professor Michael Dobson and Dr. Abigail Rokison, along with leading Shakespearean actor Simon Russell Beale.
