ECTS points, employability, lectures - these and many other terms have emerged or been redefined through the Bologna reforms, causing some unrest. The university has not been abolished, but the scope for discussion within it is becoming increasingly restricted. Initially foreign and unsettling, these terms have now seamlessly integrated not only into everyday administrative jargon but also into academic discourse. The Bologna Bestiary aims to serve as a political intervention that brings these terms into crisis and thereby makes their radical nature visible. In engaging with these seemingly tamed word beasts, students, lecturers, professors, and artists unleash their wildness once again. The power of definition is transferred to the speakers.
