The present revised new edition contains textual adjustments made in accordance with the new unified translation of the Bible. The publication adapts the sung presentation of the response psalm and the Hallelujah refrain for simpler church musical settings during the liturgical year B. The refrain verses are based on the main part of the new prayer and songbook "Gotteslob." The response psalms are set to four-part psalm tone models by Heinrich Rohr. The first half is identical to the classic psalm tones, making it easier to start. Unlike the alternating choral meditation of the psalms in the two-part psalm tones of the Liturgy of the Hours, the expanded melodic formula in four parts emphasizes the proclamation character of the solo performance of the response psalm. In addition to the response psalm, the Hallelujah verse is included each time.
