When Danni Fischer, a 32-year-old hotel manager at the Lübeck Altstadthotel "HanseZeit," learns that she is to take over the management of a new hotel in Sylt, she is literally left speechless. Should she take the leap into a new life, amidst bleating sheep and stubborn North Frisians? Without further ado, and not least to gain some distance from her ex-boyfriend Jan and his new flame, she decides to embrace the adventure and heads to the small community of Friesum on the popular vacation island. However, as a newcomer to the island, Danni soon finds herself not only dealing with her own challenges but also with the renovations of the dilapidated hotel, the quirks of the staff she is to inherit, and the nasty schemes of the neighboring hotel owner, Petersen. As if that weren't enough, her ex-boyfriend also follows her.
