Immigrants from Morocco to South Africa, from Senegal to Eritrea, have contributed to this. The result is an African cookbook that has not been seen before in the German-speaking book market. "Cooking and Eating like in Africa" not only gathers dishes of African origin but also brings to life the migration experiences of the chefs and is intended as a contribution to the development of a multicultural society. The realization of such a project was a lengthy and complex process. The goal was to actively involve a diverse range of people in the work on the book. The outcome is a work that sparks curiosity about the richness of African cuisine.
