Everything that is written, what knowledge is cited how, and what language is used, is always part of knowledge production and therefore not objective, neutral, or value-free. This means that everything that is omitted is also the result of a decision and thus an action. The book encourages critical reflection on one's own writing as an academic practice and what it can achieve.
