Houses that are being torn down, clubs that are closing, niches that are disappearing, but also the new that is emerging. Houses and streets, animals and people become props on a stage of a city in transition. A stage where everyone moves past each other anonymously. Yet, there are fleeting moments when they seem to connect beyond their anonymity. In those moments, time stands still between the lines. Here, the closeness of Anke Glasmacher's poems to so-called street and urbex photography becomes apparent. A photography that captures street scenes or abandoned, changing places to explore the city and urbanity in a different way.
