This chronicle of the time of the Third Reich in Bremen was first published shortly after the end of the 2nd World War and thus reports immensely authentic from this time, which was marked by dictatorship and war. In doing so, the book meticulously and seemingly apathetically enumerates all events in Bremen, from routine sessions of the Bürgerschaft to the heavy bombing raids on the city.
