Albert Einstein was not only the greatest scientist of his time but also the most famous. Moreover, he answered letters. This combination makes the present book possible. It is not a biography and does not explain Einstein's ideas. It has no chapters, no table of contents, no index, and, at first glance, no underlying plan or structure. It consists mostly of quotes from previously unpublished letters and testimonies that Einstein wrote without any thought of publication. Nevertheless, they are wonderfully readable, entertaining, and impressive, showcasing Einstein not only as a scientist and a person but also as a magnificent letter writer, who ironically remarked: "If everyone lived like I do, truly, the writing of novels would never have come into the world.".
