Since 1 July 2012, only EN 1995-1-1:2004 (Eurocode 5) together with the corresponding National Annexes and Amendment Papers apply to the design and construction of timber structures. Eurocode 5 has thus replaced the previous version of DIN 1052. The introduction of the Eurocode has resulted in numerous changes to the work "For timber construction - tasks and solutions according to Eurocode", which is already in its third edition. Based on the European standards, the authors Volker Krämer and Thomas Uibel have completely updated the textbook. "For Timber Construction - Tasks and Solutions according to Eurocode" offers detailed example calculations for regularly occurring timber constructions. The direct references to the standard with tables and tables are particularly helpful for understanding the design and construction standard.
