Father Martin is a shoemaker and lives in a small village in Russia. On the eve of Christmas, Father Martin has a dream: Jesus promises to come for a visit. All day long, the old man watches the people on the street, hoping not to miss the esteemed guest. But he does not come. Instead, he receives a visit from the street sweeper and a young mother with a baby. On the street, Father Martin only sees the people he encounters day after day. Has Jesus forgotten him?.
