Der Sommer hat lange auf sich warten lassen
German, Melitta Breznik, 2015Product details
Margarethe, a woman in her early 90s, revisits the place of her childhood. During her journey there, memories from the past come to her mind: with her first husband Max, whom she met during World War II and who was a different person after returning from English captivity. She thinks of Lena, their daughter, who has grown distant from her over the years and whom she will meet in just a few hours. Melitta Breznik tells the story of three people whose lives have been deeply marked by the history of the last century and who each try to cope with it in their own way.
