A journey to the most remote place in the world. A trip to a forgotten world: Greenland, the largest island in the world. Not far from the North Pole, surrounded by the most powerful icebergs in the Northern Hemisphere, it is home to the Inuit. When Birgit Lutz, author and adventurer, first arrives in the eastern part of the island in 2013 as part of an expedition, she is captivated. She returns to East Greenland several times, a region that was only discovered by Europeans about 130 years ago. Lutz meets people who grew up in earth houses, teenagers who have lost their identity in the rapid transition to a modern lifestyle, and Europeans who hoped for a slower-paced life here. She encounters individuals living between two worlds and is constantly challenged herself, for instance, when she joins a seal hunt and experiences the life of hunters from the perspective of those who have been doing it for years.
