Buch+ are reading texts for pupils with reading difficulties in grades 5 to 7. The books in the Buch+ series engage pupils through strong themes presented in short, briskly written texts. For each volume, differentiated teaching material is available for teachers. Each volume contains several independent texts on the same topic: a completed youth novel (approximately 60 pages) with illustrations, various short texts related to the youth novel (short factual texts with background information, colored diagrams, graphics, and photos) in the appendix, as well as exercises for sensory comprehension and increasing reading fluency. The series features large typography, silhouette, and layout adapted to the target group, simple language, short chapters, and cliffhangers as incentives to read on, along with numerous visual elements (photos, illustrations, diagrams) and texts of varying lengths.
