Since the beginning of the 2016/2017 school year, new subject requirements have been in effect in Schleswig-Holstein. In line with this, we have designed the series "Discovering History - Edition Schleswig-Holstein" for high schools and community schools. Student-centered, competence-oriented, multiperspective, and tailored - these are the principles underlying the new volumes: The clear structure and organized division into teaching units facilitate navigation within the book and allow for versatile use - both in the classroom and for home preparation and review. Engaging introductory pages with images and interesting texts spark curiosity about the content and encourage questions. Overview pages provide initial orientation in time and space with maps and timelines. Author texts, material selection, and work proposals enable integrative competence training.
