In recent years, building physics has become a key area of focus for architects and civil engineers in the planning and design of buildings. This applies to all fields traditionally associated with building physics, namely thermal insulation and energy conservation, moisture protection, as well as sound insulation and room acoustics. The reasons for this shift include increased demands due to legal requirements and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the area of energy conservation. Additionally, the normatively defined regulations and calculation methods have become significantly more complex compared to the past, making the verification process for both thermal and moisture protection, as well as for sound insulation and room acoustics, considerably more demanding.
