In 2016, the German legislator fundamentally reformed German procurement law in response to the new EU procurement directives 2014/23/EU, 2014/24/EU, and 2014/25/EU. As part of this, the federal government comprehensively revised the SektVO. The SektVO 2016 includes particularly the following innovations: competitive dialogue and innovation partnership as new procedural types, changes in the assessment of participation and bidding deadlines, new regulations for the awarding of subcontracting, and new requirements for communication (e-procurement). The new edition of the established standard work "SektVO-Kommentar" by the editor Malte Müller-Wrede takes into account the innovations of the 2016 procurement law reform as well as the current case law. It explains the regulations concisely, practically, and scientifically grounded. Furthermore, the work includes commentary on the new regulations.
