Concept
This volume, designed as a language guide, introduces the language of daily life in ancient Athens. This is done not through a historically or historically influenced context, but by the author immersing himself in the everyday scenario of his own time. He provides the speakers with authentic expressions for greeting, traveling, falling in love, visiting a tavern, and attending school, even including the completely non-Attic game of skat.
The vocabulary is drawn from Attic writers, primarily Aristophanes. The language form is the most elegant Greek-Attic, stripped of any cumbersome grammatical rules, embodying a seriousness with fun or fun with seriousness.
