Designed as a teaching and reference work, this grammar primarily targets learners who can already read simple Finnish texts. No prior knowledge is required. In 22 chapters, the most important forms and structures of the written language are presented. Numerous examples illustrate the regularity of Finnish grammar. Finland is officially a bilingual country, with Finnish and Swedish as its national languages. However, of the approximately 4.7 million inhabitants, about 93% speak Finnish as their mother tongue. Additionally, due to significant emigration movements, particularly to North America and Sweden, there are Finnish-speaking minorities.
