Concept: In 26 main chapters and numerous subchapters, the Georgian vocabulary of modern life is organized by subject groups and presented comprehensively and user-friendly. Each of the approximately 4,000 entries is accompanied by at least one example sentence from daily life along with its German translation. Due to the complexity of Georgian verbs, the meaning and usage of a verb are always illustrated with several example sentences that include the different root forms of the verb. A preface, usage notes, a Georgian index of lemmas, and a German-Georgian glossary complete the volume. This basic Georgian vocabulary for German native speakers is the first of its kind and thus an essential tool for study, travel, and profession.
