How quickly can something happen on the playground, while riding a bike on the street, or even just playing at home? Children's sense of adventure is still unbroken: the faster, higher, and further, the better. It's normal for things to occasionally go wrong. The question is, how should one behave in such emergencies? How do you treat a scrape? What alleviates a wasp sting? Or stops a nosebleed? And what should you do if someone suddenly becomes unconscious or stops breathing?
