The three volumes of I Himmelen - for mixed choir and for high voices - provide a unique cross-section of the sacred repertoire of Scandinavia, complemented by traditional folk song arrangements. Many of the choral pieces included have been specifically translated for I Himmelen and are now available for the first time in German. The collections thus reveal the richness of Nordic choral music and simultaneously offer a welcome expansion of traditional church music in German-speaking regions.
